Setzer Forest Products began in 1927 as an agricultural box manufacturing plant. Located in Sacramento, the heart of California's Central Valley, Setzer's boxes housed the Valley's fruits, nuts and vegetables on their journeys to all parts of the world.

Four generations of Setzers and over three quarters of a century later, the demand for housing in California and throughout the country has far surpassed the need for agricultural boxes. Consequently, the Setzer mills in Sacramento and Oroville have become one of the leading producers of M.D.F. mouldings in the western United States. The family-owned business still owns and manages pine and redwood forests in Northern California. The pride and heritage that have been a company trademark throughout history continue to make Setzer Forest Products an industry leader.
